Become a Young-America Hero! The Re-Creation Unlimited summer internship program.  

It is a life-skill summer service mission. Build healthy communities; change the way people view each other; inspire the best in the next-generation—as an RU Intern.

The Need

America needs wholesome heroes; persons worthy of our attention. Too many pop-stars and sports icons, even political leaders, are viewed as “heroes” while their personal life is in shambles. Who then should the “next generation” look up to? We need Young-America Heroes!

WE TRAIN YOU HOW TO WORK WITH THE PUBLIC USING INSPIRING LEADERSHIP SKILLS.  

The Opportunity

Young-America Heroes are college and university-age interns that are selected by Re-Creation Unlimited as activity leaders for the quality of their character; the wholeness of their family background; and their dedication to serve the nation, its people, and their Lord. They love the outdoors; are  healthy; at least 18 years old; pass a criminal background check; open toward people; self-managed; desire to shape society; and willing to integrate personal faith and public service.  They want to shape tomorrow by leading today.

For those selected, they will have the opportunity to serve for the summer in some of the finest state parks in the Northwestern United States.

MORE THAN 300 COLLEGE-AGED MEN AND WOMEN HAVE SERVED IN THE RU INTERNSHIP EXPERIENCE IN THE PAST 32 YEARS. 80% OF THESE ARE CURRENTLY IN WORK-RELATED APPLIED CHRISTIANITY.

The Mission

These heroes love people; respect nature; and actively practice Christian Culture in the context of Western Civilization. They demonstrate a mature conscience and a commitment to excellence. They put character first. They serve the public by exploring the local area and its phenomena and then host and encourage the public to discover the same through fun-based learning activities.
